Submissions

We are currently seeking well written, informative articles, photographs, and homemade recipes from the MMJ community.

Feature Articles

Contributors must have high quality writing and editing skills that allow you to submit ready-to-publish content. The Green Leaf does not provide intensive editing services, and we will reject articles that contain too many errors. Submissions that include photographs or graphics are in demand. Writing quality must be highly professional.

All applicable rights (i.e. copyright) remain with the author; however, The Green Leaf reserves the right to reprint for future issues without compensation or notification.

The kind of writing we are seeking is news reporting on MMJ topics relevant to the Arizona medical marijuana community. We are not looking for opinion pieces or satire pieces, only fact-based reporting on current MMJ events/stories/research. These include, but are not limited to:

* Arizona’s Medical Marijuana Legal Scene
* Patient Stories
* Latest research on MMJ
* Local MMJ events held around the valley
* Health news related to MMJ
* Growing Advice or Tips that are proven

We will also be featuring a special Do-It-Yourself (DIY)/How-To spread in every issue. The purpose of this section is to provide fellow MMJ patients with useful and economical tips when it comes to the cultivation and intake of MMJ. This section will be a multi-page spread that will provide the patient with detailed instructions as well as any pertinent photos.

Articles should be between 350 and 1250 words. Articles longer in length will not be considered unless previously approved for a special feature.

Please email ALL submissions to The Green Leaf. Also, feel free to email any questions or comments as well.

Photography

We are looking for high-quality photos of anything MMJ. Feel free to send in original photos of your grow room, finest bud, MMJ event, or compassion club meeting. Please submit no more than five – seven photos per month. Keep in mind that we have space restrictions and therefore can only publish the best of the best. Include names for every person shown, the event, location, date and time. As a photographer, it is your responsibility to ensure that all persons depicted in your photo are willing to have themselves published. Get permission.

Recipes

The medical benefits of cooking marijuana are well documented. Send in the recipes that have worked for you and help other patients find relief!
